The day

A 5:00am departure, lines out along the coast, and reef fishing after.

Coastal trolling is the shorter of our two fishing charters and it still starts in the dark. We leave the marina at 5:00am, set lines along the coastal shelf while the light comes up, and finish over the reef.

The listing is honest about who it is for: this is not a beginner's charter. You should have fished before, be comfortable on a moving boat for four hours, and be able to handle a rod under load.

The boat, tackle and local knowledge are ours. The early alarm is yours.

  • Weather dependent; we will move or refund rather than run a bad sea

Before you book

Why 5:00am?

The bite is best in the first light and the sea is at its flattest. It is not negotiable on this charter.

Is it really unsuitable for beginners?

Yes — that is how the trip is listed and we keep it that way. If you are new to fishing, the snorkelling and handline day is the better introduction.

Do we keep the fish?

Discuss it with the skipper. Some of the catch goes home with you and some goes back.
