The day

Five hours: coral in the morning, a hand line over the side after lunch.

The same water as our four-hour tour with an extra hour and a rod-free way to fish. Handlining is how reef fishing is done here — a coil of line, a hook, and your hands doing the work.

You snorkel first while the light is best, stop at a sandbank for a light lunch, then anchor over the reef for the fishing. The crew shows you how to feel a bite and how to bring one in without losing your fingers to the line.

It is a good choice for mixed groups where some people want to be in the water and others want to sit and fish.

Best for
Mixed groups, families with teenagers, and anyone who wants both.
Pace
Easy to moderate. Long day on the water with plenty of shade.

Questions

Before you book

Can we keep what we catch?

Talk to the crew on the day. Reef fishing here is done with respect for local stocks and some species go straight back.

Do we need fishing experience?

None. Handlining is quick to learn and the crew stays with you.

Is this the old 'Package 3'?

Yes. The legacy site listed it under a package-2 web address, which is why old links still reach this page.
